The City of Renton now accepts tips from all Renton residents about a variety of issues in your community. The Renton Responds app is available for your iPhone or your Android phone and provides a rich set of tools for a resident to submit a tip, an observation, or even a complaint.

You can submit your tip using either of the apps, or via the City of Renton website at www.rentonwa.gov/rentonresponds.

 

Using the phone app provides some advantages, however. First, you can use the phone’s camera to send an image to the city as part of your tip. Second, the phone’s GPS is used to bring up a map of the area in which you are making the report, and you can put a pin in the map right where you’re standing, so the city knows where to look.

 

You may create an account with the city when you submit your tip, which enables the city to provide status back to you. If you prefer, however, you can submit your tip anonymously. If you do that, you don’t get any feedback.

The app (and the web page) provides a large list of categories for your tip. This helps the city narrow down the area of responsibility and respond to the issue more efficiently.
